Topic 2 reading 1

Rita: I love cycling. I was a lucky child because I live in the countryside and I had my first bike when I was seven. I don’t my bike much now because we live in the city. But I go cycling at least once a month.

Pierre: I enjoy doing a lot of things in my free time. But I’m skiing. I don’t go very often because I live in London and it’s very expensive. I used to go every weekend when I lived in France. These days I usually about twice a year. I usually go with a group of friends and we stay in the Alps.

Sue: Well, I haven’t got very much free time because I have a young family. But I used to find time most weekends to go sailing. it’s difficult but I still go now and then. I always feel better after a few hours on the sea!

Dan: I’m quite keen on sport but I prefer more relaxing activities like watching TV or listening to music. I used to enjoy playing cards with friends at university. We used to get together every week for a drink and the evening playing cards. We usually played for money but I stopped because I often lost!
